News Topical, Digital Desk : Major General Mikhail Gudkov, Deputy Chief of the Russian Navy, has died. Gudkov and 10 other soldiers have died in the attack by Ukraine. Mikhail Gudkov's death has been confirmed on a Telegram channel linked to the Ukrainian army. Mikhail Gudkov was posted at a command post in Korenevo in the Kursk region bordering Ukraine. It is feared that everyone has died in the missile attack. 

 

Putin appointed Mikhail Gudkov as the deputy-in-chief of the Navy

Gudkov received awards for bravery in military action against Ukraine and Ukraine has accused him of war crimes. Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed him deputy commander-in-chief of the navy in March, according to a statement on the Kremlin's website. There was no immediate comment from the Russian Defense Ministry or Ukraine.

Gudkov led a marine brigade of Russia's Pacific Fleet that was fighting in Kursk. Ukrainian forces captured parts of Kursk in August 2024.

Ukraine is running out of weapons 

Recently, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had said that if the US stops supplying arms, it will only benefit Russia. Zelensky had said that Ukraine is running out of arms, but the Ukrainian army still has many options to fight Russia.

 

Zelensky has said that the Russian army is continuously moving towards the Ukrainian border. The Russian army has entered 7 kilometers into the northern region of Ukraine. Currently, the biggest battle of the war is being fought in Donetsk.
