
The Ukrainian embassy in India said a Russian missile struck an Indian pharmaceutical company's warehouse in Ukraine on Saturday. In a social media post, the embassy alleged that Russia claims a special friendship with India but is deliberately targeting Indian businesses in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian embassy wrote, 'Today, a Russian missile attacked the warehouse of the Indian pharmaceutical company Kusum in Ukraine. Claiming special friendship with India, Moscow is deliberately targeting Indian businesses. Destroying medicines made for children and the elderly.'
Pharmaceutical company presence in 29 countries
Earlier, Britain's ambassador to Ukraine, Martin Harris, claimed that Russian attacks destroyed a major drug warehouse in Kiev. He said that the attack was carried out by Russian drones. However, he did not give information about which company was attacked.
Now the Ukrainian embassy in India has clarified that the attack took place on the warehouse of Indian pharma company Kusum. On its website, Kusum Healthcare said it has a presence in 29 countries, including Ukraine, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Benin, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Niger, Cameroon, Mali and Tanzania.
Russia is bombing Ukraine
- Russia has bombed several targets in Ukraine in the past few days, while the US is pressing for a ceasefire between Kiev and Moscow. US envoy Steve Witkoff met Russian President Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg on Friday to discuss a ceasefire in Ukraine.
- Saturday marked exactly one month since Russia refused to accept a full interim ceasefire proposed by the US. Russia continues its aggression against Ukraine, while Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Tsibiha accused Russia of being the only obstacle to peace.
