News Topical, Digital Desk : After the murder of Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi, Raja's family reached the place in Meghalaya where this horrific incident took place. There they performed rituals for the peace of Raja's soul.

Raja's brother Vipin said that the family decided to perform some rituals at the spot where Raja's body was found on June 2. This place was the parking lot of Wei Sadong Waterfalls, where Raja and Sonam had parked their rented scooter.

After this, they went to the forest where the incident took place. The family reached Shillong on Tuesday and performed the last rites in Cherrapunji (Sohra) on Wednesday.

Family waiting for justice

Raja's family is now ready to fight for justice. They have decided to hire a lawyer in Shillong. Raja's family will challenge the bail granted to property dealer Silom James, flat owner Lokendra Tomar and security guard Balveer.

All three have been accused of tampering with evidence. The family has also demanded that Sonam undergo a narco test so that it becomes clear why she killed her newly-wed husband.

NDTV quoted sources as saying that Sonam's brother Govind has sought lawyers in Shillong and Guwahati to file a bail plea for Sonam. However, her family has not confirmed this.

What is the whole matter?

Raja and Sonam got married on May 11. Just nine days later, on May 20, they left for their honeymoon in Meghalaya with only a one-way ticket. They toured the North-East for three days, but then suddenly disappeared.

When the family could not contact him, they informed the police. Initially, it was a missing person case but it turned into a murder investigation after Raja's body was found in a deep ditch on June 2.
