News Topical, Digital Desk : Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has stated that the PM Krishi Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana will write a new chapter in agricultural development. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav virtually participated from Indore on Saturday (October 11) in the "Respecting Food Providers, Building a Prosperous Nation" program organized by the Union Agriculture Ministry in Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the program and also virtually inaugurated a state-of-the-art milk powder plant with a capacity of 3 million tonnes in Indore. 

Prime Minister Modi also described the integration of cooperative societies in Indore, Gwalior, and other PACS as historic. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for these gifts to Madhya Pradesh.

Two big schemes for farmers across the country

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav listened to Prime Minister Modi's address virtually from the Brilliant Convention Center, Indore. Speaking to media representatives after the event, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced two major schemes for farmers across the country: the Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana and the Pulse Self-Reliance Mission. 

'PM Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana will boost agriculture' 

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said, "The PM Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana will write a new chapter in bringing about radical changes in the country's agricultural development and related sectors. So far, 5 million farmers have enrolled in 10,000 FPOs across the country. The National Rural Agriculture Mission has certified one lakh farmers, certified 4,275 Maitri, approved more than 10,000 multipurpose PACS for computerization, and inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various projects, including dairy, fisheries, animal husbandry, and food processing." 

Milk powder plant with a capacity of 3 million tonnes in Indore

On this occasion, PM Modi also virtually inaugurated a state-of-the-art milk powder plant with a capacity of 3 million tonnes and a cost of ₹79 crore in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, the Indore and Gwalior cooperative societies in the state are being linked to PACS. It is noteworthy that the Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana and the Pulse Self-Reliance Mission will not only strengthen efforts to increase yields in 100 low-yielding districts of the country, but will also accelerate pulse production. 

Indore farmers welcomed the CM.

This special program includes development projects worth over ₹42,000 crore in agriculture and related sectors. These projects will not only bring new prosperity to the lives of our farmers, but will also strengthen our resolve for a developed and self-reliant India. Following the conclusion of the virtual program, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was warmly welcomed by the farmers of Indore district.
