Speaking at the US Business Forum, Trump said, "On November 5, 2024, the American people elected our government. We restored our sovereignty. Last night in New York, we lost a little bit of sovereignty, but we'll take care of it." Trump emphasized that the Democratic leader's vision for New York reflects the party's all-American plan.

What did Trump say on Mamdani's victory?

The US President said that if you want to see what the Democrats want to do to America, look at the results of yesterday's mayoral election in New York, where his party installed a communist as mayor of the nation's largest city.

"I warned long ago that our adversaries were bent on turning America into a communist Cuba and a socialist Venezuela, and you can see what happened to these places," Trump said. In his address, Trump claimed that when New York becomes communist under Mamdani's rule, New Yorkers will be forced to flee to Florida.

Told the former mayor of New York the worst

It's worth noting that the US President is also a native of New York. Trump also took aim at the city's former Democratic mayor, Bill de Blasio. He said, "When I left New York and went to the White House, everything was fine; but we had clear signs of trouble because we had a guy named de Blasio, who is probably known as the worst mayor in history."
