The Assembly was not dissolved because he feared foul play. He claimed that the BJP does not want Nitish Kumar to become Chief Minister. The MP stated that Bihar is the only state in the Hindi belt where the BJP has not had a Chief Minister. The BJP wants to appoint its own Chief Minister.

Pappu Yadav said, "BJP is trying to form the government without JDU by joining hands with other allies. BJP is also trying to break the parties of the grand alliance."

The Purnia MP even made an offer to Nitish Kumar. He said, "We offer Nitish Kumar to join the Grand Alliance and serve as Chief Minister for five years. We have already discussed this with the Congress."

The BJP also responded to Pappu Yadav's claim. Senior Bihar BJP spokesperson Prem Ranjan Patel stated that the NDA is unbreakable. He said that Nitish Kumar was, is, and will remain Chief Minister. He added that these people practice the politics of spreading confusion, which is why they suffered such a disastrous election. He said that Pappu Yadav is dreaming Mungerilal's sweet dreams. He is not improving even after such a crushing defeat.
