News Topical, Digital Desk : Security forces have killed 15 insurgents linked to the TTP in two intelligence-based operations in northwest Pakistan, the Pakistani army said.

According to the media wing of the Pakistan Army, these operations were carried out on November 15 and 16 in Dera Ismail Khan and North Waziristan districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Pakistani army said 10 Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) "terrorists" were killed in a raid in the Kulachi area of ​​Dera Ismail Khan. Among them was key leader Alam Mehsud, while five insurgents were killed in Datta Khel in North Waziristan. The army said Mehsud was a wanted insurgent.

'All insurgents linked to foreign-sponsored networks'

Pakistani officials, without naming any country, said all the insurgents killed were linked to foreign-sponsored networks and were involved in numerous attacks. President Asif Ali Zardari said any attempt to undermine the national consensus against terrorism would not be tolerated.
