News Topical, Digital Desk : A massive explosion has occurred in Pakistan's capital, Islamabad. Twelve people were killed and 21 injured in the incident. The blast occurred right in front of a court in Islamabad. The cause of the blast has not yet been revealed.

According to a Geo TV report, the attack was a suicide bomber. A car parked outside a courthouse in Islamabad exploded. Twelve people died on the spot and 21 were injured. All the injured have been hospitalized.

The court was vacated

Most of the injured were lawyers and petitioners. The blast caused chaos throughout the court. Police immediately evacuated the court premises. Those present were escorted out through the back door. All court proceedings were also halted.

Several senior officials visited

Upon receiving information about the blast, Islamabad's Director General of Police, Chief Commissioner, and forensic team arrived at the scene. Rescue teams have admitted the injured to the hospital, where they are receiving treatment. Following the incident, an emergency has been declared at PIMS Hospital in Islamabad. Police are investigating the attack.
