News Topical, Digital Desk : Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has accused the Sindh administration of carrying out overnight raids in Karachi and other parts of the province. The party has claimed that 180 party workers have been detained in the name of maintaining public order.

Raids on activists' homes

It is alleged that the police raided the houses of PTI leaders and workers in the early hours and detained a large number of people ahead of its planned protest on February 8.

retaliatory action

The PTI's central information department alleged that the detained activists were being held under preventive detention for one month under the MPO. The party termed the action as political vendetta and alleged that the arrests were made across the province to thwart upcoming protests.
