New Delhi: Arshad Nadeem has made his place in the sports world of Pakistan. He won the gold medal by breaking the Olympic record twice in the javelin final at the Paris Olympics 2024. Nadeem has set a new Olympic record by throwing the javelin 92.97 meters. He also gave Pakistan its first Olympic medal in 32 years.

will get 50 crore rupees
Nadeem is set to receive a sum of 153 million Pakistani rupees (over INR 4.5 crores). Out of this amount, Maryam Nawaz, the Chief Minister of Pakistan's Punjab state, has announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for Nadeem, according to Pakistan-based news outlet Dawn. Punjab Governor Sardar Salim Haider Khan has announced an additional PKR 2 million reward.
Nadeem will be given a sum of 50 million Pakistani rupees by the Chief Minister of Sindh, which also includes Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab. Sindh Governor Kamran Tesoori also announced an additional sum of 1 million Pakistani rupees. Popular Pakistani singer Ali Zafar has confirmed that he will give 1 million Pakistani rupees to Nadeem, while cricketer Ahmed Shehzad has also announced a similar amount through his foundation.
Demand for highest civilian award
According to a Radio Pakistan report, the National Assembly session saw the lower house unanimously pass a resolution recommending the government to honour Nadeem with the highest civilian award. Senate Deputy Chairman Syedul Khan Nasar will host a dinner of honour for Arshad when he returns to Pakistan.
