
News Topical, Digital Desk : State-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has received major orders from Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited (MPPGCL) for two major projects worth Rs 13,000 crore to Rs 15,000 crore.
This order includes EPC packages for the 1x660 MW Amarkantak Unit No. 6 and 1x660 MW Satarpura Unit No. 12 supercritical thermal power plants. According to company filings, this order includes the supply of tools, installation, commissioning, and other civil works. BHEL secured this order through an open tender process. The company must complete both projects within 57 months of receiving the notification. BHEL's order book increased by 51% in the June quarter compared to last year, reaching over ₹2 lakh crore. The company's order inflow grew by 42% during the same period, reaching ₹13,445 crore. The company's net loss in the June quarter widened to ₹455 crore, while EBITDA loss was ₹537 crore. Despite this, BHEL shares rose 1.9% on Tuesday and were trading at ₹238.34. The company's stock has gained a total of 12% over the past month.
