
News Topical, Digital Desk : On the occasion of retirement of Himachal Pradesh Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena from his post, a felicitation ceremony was organised by the Secretariat Administration Department at the State Secretariat today.
In his address on this occasion, Prabodh Saxena said that Himachal Pradesh has achieved remarkable progress since its formation. This has been possible due to the cooperation of the state's people, leadership, officers, employees, and everyone involved. The state's officers and employees perform their duties with utmost dedication. No matter how adverse the weather conditions in the state, the employees have always provided excellent service.
Sharing memories from his service, the Chief Secretary said that the people of Himachal are very hardworking and honest. He always felt like a family while serving in Himachal. He wished the state and its people happiness and prosperity.
Additional Chief Secretary K.K. Pant commended Prabodh Saxena for his exemplary service and honored him. He wished Saxena a long life and good health.
New Chief Secretary to be appointed soon
It should be noted that Prabodh Saxena received a six-month extension. However, a request for an extension of six months was not approved by the central government. As a result, he retired today. Following his retirement, the Sukhu government may soon appoint a new Chief Secretary. IAS officers KK Pant, Sanjay Gupta, and Omkar Sharma are in the running for the post. Any one of them could be appointed the state's new Chief Secretary.
Appreciation for outstanding services
Secretary, Secretariat Administration, Rakesh Kanwar welcomed the Chief Secretary. On this occasion, the Secretariat Administration also honored Section Officer Umesh, Inspector Murari Lal, and Caretaker Rupendra Singh upon their retirement from the Secretariat, commending their outstanding service. Senior officers and staff were present on the occasion.
