News Topical, Digital Desk : Like many across the country, actor Varun Dhawan celebrated the auspicious festival of Durga Ashtami on Tuesday, September 30th. He shared some photos on Instagram that touched fans' hearts. He hosted a feast for girls on Ashtami and also ate with them.
Varuna sat and ate with the girls
In the photos, Varun is seen sitting on the floor with five girls and a boy. The children were eating halwa, chana, and puri from paper plates and plastic glasses. Varun captioned the post, “Happy Durga Ashtami, best meal.”
Fans supported Varun
Some people even trolled Varun for this very reason, because the children were eating on paper plates, while Varun was eating on steel plates. They asked why the children didn't get steel plates. One asked, "Do the children have separate plates??? Paper plates?" Another wrote, “Sir, you're eating on a steel plate yourself and feeding your children on plastic plates, this is absolutely wrong.”
However, Varun's fans supported him in the face of this absurd trolling. One wrote, "What a negative person you are, brother!!! Negativity in everything." Another wrote, "Brother, sometimes children can't finish their food, so they take the plates with them. This happens often in many homes. Just because he's a celebrity doesn't mean we have to criticize everything." Another wrote, “It's easy to find faults, but sitting and eating with children shows that you have a kind heart.”
Navratri is about to end and today is Ashtami, the second last day of Navratri.
This time Navratri began on September 22. It will end with Navami tomorrow and Dussehra on October 2.
