Furthermore, Tulsi leaves should not be plucked. It is believed that this mistake may anger Goddess Lakshmi and the fast's full benefits may be denied.

There will be a shortage of money

Goddess Lakshmi resides in a clean place. Therefore, on Ekadashi, pay special attention to cleanliness around the Tulsi plant. According to religious belief, dirtiness around the Tulsi plant prevents Goddess Lakshmi from residing in the home and one faces financial hardship. The Tulsi plant should not be touched with dirty or unclean hands. It is believed that touching the plant with dirty or unclean hands brings bad luck and can lead to negativity in life.

Utpanna Ekadashi 2025 Date and Auspicious Time

According to the Vedic calendar, the Ekadashi Tithi of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) of the month of Margashirsha will begin at 12:49 AM on November 15th and end at 2:37 AM on November 16th. Therefore, Utpanna Ekadashi will be celebrated on November 15th.

Utpanna Ekadashi 2025 Vrat Paran Time

The Utpanna Ekadashi fast will be broken on November 16. The time for breaking the fast on this day is from 12:55 pm to 3:08 pm.
