News Topical, Digital Desk : In a joint operation, Rajasthan ATS and Anti-Terrorism Squad have arrested Bajrang Singh, a former NSG commando who displayed bravery in the operation against terrorists during the 26/11 attack on Hotel Taj in Mumbai in 2008, in a drug smuggling case.

Bajrang smuggled marijuana from Telangana and Odisha and supplied it to various areas of Rajasthan. A reward of 25,000 rupees had been announced against him.

This is how ATS arrested

ATS Inspector General Vikas Kumar said that Bajrang Singh is originally from Fatehpur in Sikar district. The ATS had been searching for Bajrang for nearly two months. Police received information that Bajrang was in Ratangarh in Churu district on Wednesday. Following this, the ATS laid a trap and arrested him.

Arrests have been made before

According to the information, Bajrang was arrested in Hyderabad in the year 2023 in the case of smuggling of 100 kg of ganja, but was later released on bail.
