It is worth noting that the committee has held about 12 meetings with constitutional experts so far. It has also visited six states and union territories including Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Chandigarh.
The committee believes that it has received positive suggestions regarding the proposed law in the opinion polls conducted so far. The committee is working on a plan to hold discussions with the industry as well.
