After PM Modi recently flagged off 200 electric buses on the roads of Delhi, now electric Devi buses are being started on six more routes, which will make it easier to reach metro stations than before.

At present, DTC's Devi electric buses are running on 27 routes in Delhi. These buses were started especially with the aim of connecting metro stations, main markets and inner colonies. Seeing the success of those buses, they have been started on six more routes.

DTC officials said that buses have been started to operate on these six routes from Ramesh Nagar to Janakpuri South (Dabdi Mode), Patel Nagar to Anand Parvat, East Patel Nagar to Rajiv Chowk Metro Station, Karol Bagh Church to Sarai Rohilla Railway Station Security Force, Rajiv Chowk Metro Station Gate-2 to Sardar Patel Marg and Rajiv Chowk Metro Station Gate-8 to Outer Road via various areas and back to Rajiv Chowk Metro Station.

The official said that these six routes have been started on an experimental basis. These routes have been specially designed to connect with the metro network so that passengers can complete their journey from start to finish without any inconvenience. Changes can also be made in the routes based on the feedback received from passengers during bus operation on these routes.
