News Topical, Digital Desk : On the instructions of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, every possible chemical fertilizer is being made available to the farmers of the state. At the same time, keeping in mind the reduction in the cost of chemical fertilizers and the shortage in the supply of DAP fertilizer, farmers are also being made aware of the use of nano fertilizers.
For the current Kharif season in the state, a target of 14.62 lakh metric tonnes of various chemical fertilizers has been set by the Government of India. Against the target, 15.64 lakh metric tonnes of chemical fertilizers have been stored in the cooperative and private sectors. Against the storage, 13.19 lakh metric tonnes of fertilizers have been distributed to the farmers.
Urea is available in sufficient quantity in private sector also
Urea is available in sufficient quantity in committees and private sectors as well. Farmers are also using nano fertilizers enthusiastically. Agriculture department officials said that for the current Kharif season, as of August 25, 3 lakh 91 thousand 79 metric tons and 3 lakh 11 thousand 563 metric tons in the private sector, thus a total of 7 lakh 2 thousand 642 metric tons of fertilizer has been stored.
Against the storage, 6 lakh 38 thousand 599 metric tonnes of urea has been distributed to the farmers. This includes distribution of 3 lakh 42 thousand 444 metric tonnes from the cooperative sector and 2 lakh 96 thousand 155 metric tonnes from the private sector, while in the last Kharif season of the year 2024, 6 lakh 17 thousand 798 metric tonnes of urea was distributed.
Large storage of nano fertilizer
Similarly, 1 lakh 78 thousand 919 bottles (500 ml) of Nano Urea have been stored in the cooperative sector and 1 lakh 12 thousand 140 bottles in the private sector, thus a total of 2 lakh 91 thousand 59 bottles have been stored.
At the same time, 1 lakh 58 thousand 809 bottles of Nano DAP have been stored in the cooperative sector and 79 thousand 810 bottles in the private sector, thus a total of 2 lakh 38 thousand 619 bottles have been stored. Against the storage, 2 lakh 32 thousand 652 bottles of Nano Urea and 1 lakh 85 thousand 136 bottles (500 ml) of Nano DAP have been distributed to the farmers.
Farmers are getting huge benefit from nano fertilizers
Agriculture department officials said that 2 lakh 32 thousand 652 bottles (500 ml) of nano urea have been distributed to the farmers of the state, which had an impact equivalent to the supply of 2 thousand 617 metric tonnes of conventional urea.
At the same time, 1 lakh 85 thousand 136 bottles (500 ml) of Nano DAP were distributed, which is equal to 4 thousand 628 metric tons of traditional DAP. This makes it clear that the use of nano fertilizers is contributing significantly in reducing the burden of traditional fertilizers and balancing the supply.
Use of nano urea reduces both pollution and cost
Agricultural scientists said that 80 to 90 percent of nutrients are obtained by using nano urea. Along with this, the cost also reduces, while it is environmentally friendly and reduces the pollution level. The use of nano urea saves on transportation and storage and also has less impact on the environment.
According to agricultural experts, instead of 50 kg of solid DAP fertilizer required for one acre of paddy crop, only 25 kg of solid DAP and a half-liter bottle of Nano DAP is sufficient.
Information about nano fertilizer by going from village to village
The employees of the Agriculture Department are going from village to village and showing demos to the farmers through Krishi Chaupals and Vikasit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan and giving detailed information. Along with this, pamphlets, banners and posters related to nano fertilizers have been displayed in cooperative societies.
The field staff of the Agriculture Department are constantly visiting the fields and informing the farmers about the use of nano fertilizer and its benefits, as a result of which the farmers are using nano fertilizer in their paddy crop with full confidence.
