President Donald Trump has left the world speculating over whether the United States would join Israel in bombing an Iranian nuclear site. The Wall Street Journal has reported that he has told his senior aides that he has approved a plan to strike Iran but is holding off on giving the final order to see if Tehran will abandon its nuclear program.
Speaking to reporters outside the White House, Trump declined to say whether he had made a decision about joining the Israel campaign. "I might do that. I might not do that. I mean, nobody knows what I'm going to do," he said.
'Mistake of not doing the deal, now regret it'
Trump said, "We talked on this issue for 60 days, but in the end he refused to make a deal. Now he is realizing his mistake. There is less time left for the meeting, but he wants to come to the White House. I may do this... anything can happen."
On the current situation, he said, "I have a meeting in the war room shortly. We are stuck in a terrible issue. It pains me a lot to see so much destruction and deaths."
Trump did not fully reveal his strategy, but definitely said that decisions will be taken at the last moment. He said, “I have some ideas about what I can do, but they are not final yet. I like to take decisions at the last moment. Especially in a war situation, things keep changing.”
