News Topical, Digital Desk : UP News: Noida Authority has taken a tough stand on illegal construction and has taken major action in Garhi Chaukhandi and Basai village. The authority has identified 22 illegal buildings and written "This building is illegal" on them in red ink. The identified buildings include shops, residential buildings and hotels. Along with this, illegal vendors have also been removed. The authority has clarified that this action will continue in the future as well.

The land of Khasra number 13, 16, 17, 34, 35, 36, 37 and 38 of Garhi Chaukhandi village has already been acquired and notified by the authority. Illegal construction was being carried out on this land located between FNG Road and Pushta Marg for a long time. The authority tried to stop the construction work several times, but the encroachers continued to protest and misbehave. Due to this, now a warning of illegal construction has been clearly marked on these buildings.

Notices have also been pasted on all these buildings by the authority. The officials have warned that if the concerned people do not demolish these buildings themselves, then the authority will demolish them and recover the expenses.

On the instructions of CEO Lokesh M., all the senior managers from Circle-1 to 10 have started making a list of illegal buildings in their areas. A joint survey has also been conducted for this. During the survey, those plots are also being investigated where there was illegal construction earlier and they were demolished after the action. If construction is found to be taking place again on such plots, then the concerned person will be put in the category of land mafia and a report in this regard will be sent to the government.

From January 2024 till now, the authority has freed about 1.93 lakh square meters of land from encroachment, which is estimated to cost Rs 1,068 crore. This land has been planned under Master Plan 2031, where future plans and projects are to be developed. So far, FIR has been registered in 24 cases, while investigation of 118 cases is going on at the DCP level. Legal action will also be taken in these cases soon.
