News Topical, Digital Desk : India has again extended the deadline for closing its airspace to Pakistani aircraft. Military or civilian aircraft from the neighboring country will not be able to enter Indian airspace until October 24th. Pakistan has also announced that its airspace will remain closed to Indian aircraft until October 24th.

After the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, India had closed its airspace for Pakistani aircraft, after which Pakistan also announced to keep its airspace closed for Indian aircraft.

India and Pakistan have issued separate Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs), ordering the closure of their airspace. According to the order issued today by India, no Pakistani-registered aircraft, including military aircraft, or aircraft purchased or leased by Pakistani airlines, will be permitted to enter Indian airspace.

Airspace is closed since April 30

On April 22, a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, killed 26 civilians. India announced the closure of its airspace for Pakistani aircraft. This order took effect on April 30. The deadline has been extended several times since then.
