New Delhi: On the 78th Independence Day (Independence Day 2024), Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the country from the historic Red Fort. Prime Minister Modi mentioned Vikasit Bharat 2047 from the Red Fort's prop. PM Modi explained what exactly Vikasit Bharat 2047 means. PM Modi also mentioned that to achieve the goal of Vikasit Bharat 2047, the government is taking the opinion of people from all over the country.
The countrymen can fight every challenge: PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "If in 1947, 40 crore people could break the shackles of slavery and gain independence from the British, then if today's 140 crore citizens, my family members, move forward with determination, walk together, then no matter how many challenges there are, we can overcome every challenge and build a prosperous India, a developed India."
PM Modi further said, "Today the commitment to live in the country can make a prosperous India. Developed India 2024 is not just words in a speech. There is hard work behind it. We sought suggestions from the countrymen. Crores of citizens of the country gave countless suggestions."
Citizens gave different suggestions for a developed India
Prime Minister Modi said, “Whether it is the people living in villages or the citizens living in cities, people have suggested to make India the skill capital of the world. They have suggested that Indian universities should become global. Shouldn't our media be global? Our youth should become the skilled labour of the world. Coarse grains have to be delivered to all the dining tables of the world.”
PM Modi further said that there is a need for reform in the judicial system in our country. Capacity building in governance was suggested. India should build a space station. India should be developed as a wellness hub. India should become the third largest economy in the world.
