New Delhi. CPI(M) national general secretary Sitaram Yechury is in a critical condition and is on respiratory support at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) said on Tuesday. Sitaram Yechury was admitted to AIIMS on August 19 after suffering from a chest infection. When his condition worsened, he was put on a ventilator. According to his party, a team of doctors is closely monitoring his health.
