New Delhi: BJP on Saturday targeted Rahul Gandhi over the incident of assault and misbehavior with an Indian journalist by Congress workers in America. It said- this incident happened during the Congress leader's US tour. Rahul should tell on whose orders this was done? It also said that the incident of misbehavior with the journalist shows the real mentality of Congress.
BJP MP and party spokesperson Sudhashu Trivedi said, "During Rahul Gandhi's US visit, a journalist was attacked, his phone was confiscated and the interview taken by him was forcibly deleted. This shows the real mindset of the Congress. Rahul Gandhi travels abroad after every parliamentary session, makes anti-India statements and meets people with anti-India agenda."

The BJP leader also strongly condemned Gandhi's remarks about casteism in the media during a recent event in the US. "He talks about casteism in the media to demoralise Indian journalists and then his team attacks him in the US. I want to ask Rahul... on whose orders was this done? Why did you get angry over a question related to Bangladeshi Hindus?" he said.
Will teach Rahul a lesson for speaking against the country: Athawale
According to PTI, Union Social Justice Minister Ramdas Athawale on Saturday said that Rahul Gandhi's statement on ending reservation is condemnable and his party will intensify protests against the Congress leader in Maharashtra and elsewhere. He also said that Dalits will teach Rahul Gandhi a lesson for speaking against the country on foreign soil. He also demanded an apology from the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
Rahul's statement on reservation is against the constitution: Athawale
He also targeted Rahul Gandhi's comment that Congress will think about ending reservation only when India becomes a fair place. At present, this is not the case in the country. Athawale said that this statement is against the Constitution and reflects the anti-reservation stance of the Congress. He said that no one can end the reservation given to Dalits, tribals and backward classes.
