Khordha:  Navy Chief on Agniveer scheme  The opposition has been constantly attacking the Modi government at the center over the Agniveer scheme. These allegations of the opposition got a big blow today when Indian Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi praised the Agniveer scheme.

Agniveer Yojana is progressing well

In fact, the Navy Chief praised the Agniveer scheme during the passing out parade of the fourth batch of Agniveers in Odisha and said that this initiative is progressing well. Admiral Tripathi said that more than 2,500 Agniveers have completed their training in the first three batches.

A lot of expectations from Agniveers: Navy Chief

Admiral Tripathi further said that I was the Chief of Personnel in 2022 when the Agneepath scheme was launched. Now, two years later we have seen the fourth batch pass out from our premier training establishment, INS Chilka, on Friday. The scheme is going well.

The Admiral said that we have trained more than 2,500 Agniveers in the first three batches. This batch includes about 1,429 Agniveers, of which about 300 are women. I see a lot of promise in them, as they are highly motivated, enthusiastic and fully engaged in the Indian Navy.
