New Delhi: The doctors' agitation continues to demand justice in the case of rape and murder of a female trainee doctor in Kolkata's RG Kar Hospital (Kolkata Doctors Murder Case). Doctors are still on strike in different parts of the country today. Resident doctors of AIIMS and other hospitals in Delhi have announced to provide free OPD services on the road in front of the Health Ministry in Nirman Bhavan from August 19.

At the same time, politics is also going on on this issue. BJP has once again demanded the resignation of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Apart from this, the Supreme Court has taken suo motu cognizance of the heinous crime committed at RG Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata. It is going to hear this case on August 20, i.e. Tuesday. A bench headed by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud will hear the case.

  • Bengal Governor Dr CV Anand Bose will go to Delhi on Monday to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Health Minister JP Nadda. The Governor can submit a report to the Home Minister regarding the current situation in the state. Raj Bhavan has also sought time to meet the Home Minister. According to sources, the Governor can meet the Home and Health Minister on Monday or Tuesday.
