BJP national president JP Nadda said on Saturday that the BJP has planned to build 768 party offices across the country. Of these, 563 offices have been completed. Nadda was scheduled to attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Goa BJP headquarters near Panaji, but he addressed the ceremony through a video message.
Establishment of party office in every district
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis laid the foundation stone of the headquarters. Sawant said the new building will be ready by December 2026.
Nadda said, after forming the government at the Centre, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah took many important decisions related to the government and the party organisation. Establishing BJP headquarters in every state capital and party office in every district was one of the major decisions taken by Modi-Shah.
Work is going on at 96 offices
Nadda said, the party decided to build 768 offices, of which 563 have already been completed. Work is underway on 96 offices. Nadda recalled the time when the BJP's national executive meeting was held in Goa in June 2013 before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
He said, in the national executive meeting, a resolution was taken to overthrow the Congress government. After that meeting, the party workers worked hard, due to which the Narendra Modi-led government came to power in 2014.
Party office becomes like home
Fadnavis said, for a BJP leader, the party office is like home. I am feeling the same happiness as one feels while laying the foundation stone of his house.
