News Topical, Digital Desk : Another major revelation has been made in US documents regarding Operation Sindoor, exposing Pakistan's true face to the world. If US government documents are to be believed, Pakistan spared no effort in pressuring the US, from the time of the Pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir to the start of Operation Sindoor and during the four-day India-Pakistan tension. Pakistani diplomats, including defense officials, had sought more than 50 meetings in the US. These meetings were proposed with senior American officials, lawmakers, and influential media outlets.

Held more than 60 meetings

US Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) records show that the Pakistani High Commissioner to the US conducted emails, phone calls, and arranged for over 60 meetings. These meetings were aimed at pressuring the US against India. Pakistan, facing the brunt of Operation Sindoor, was pleading with the US to halt the Indian action.

What was discussed in the meetings?

During Operation Sindoor, Pakistan attempted to contact US lawmakers, the Pentagon, the State Department, and several prominent journalists. Discussions ranged from the Kashmir issue to regional security, bilateral relations along the border, and rare earth minerals.

The poor country spent crores of rupees

Pakistan invested millions in lobbying the US. According to a New York Times report published in November 2025, Pakistan paid approximately $5 million (45 crore rupees) to a Washington lobbying firm, which also benefited the Trump administration.

No stone was left unturned to please Trump

According to the report, Pakistan struck the deal with Seiden Law LLP, working through Javelin Advisors. Just weeks later, Trump welcomed Pakistan's Army Chief Asim Munir to the White House. To appease Trump, Pakistan appealed to the US President to award him the Nobel Peace Prize. Pakistan also offered Trump numerous business and trade incentives.
