News Topical, Digital Desk : The market capitalization of six of the top 10 most valuable companies of Sensex declined by more than Rs 3 lakh crore last week. Information technology companies Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Infosys suffered the biggest losses. Last

week, the 30-share BSE Sensex fell by 953.64 points or 1.14 percent. The market capitalization of TCS, Infosys, HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) and Bharti Airtel declined during the week under review. Whereas the market position of State Bank of India (SBI), Bajaj Finance, Larsen & Toubro and ICICI Bank increased.

What is the market cap of TCS?

The market valuation of TCS declined by Rs 90,198.92 crore to Rs 9,74,043.43 crore in the week under review. Infosys' valuation fell by Rs 70,780.23 crore to Rs 5,55,287.72 crore. HDFC Bank's market cap declined by Rs 54,627.71 crore to Rs 13,93,621.92 crore and Reliance Industries' valuation fell by Rs 41,883 crore to Rs 19,21,475.79 crore.

LIC's market cap falls

The market capitalization of LIC declined by ₹23,971.74 crore to ₹5,46,226.80 crore, and that of Bharti Airtel declined by ₹19,244.61 crore to ₹11,43,044.03 crore. In contrast, the valuation of SBI increased by ₹1,22,213.38 crore to ₹11,06,566.44 crore.

The market cap of Bajaj Finance increased by ₹26,414.44 crore to ₹6,37,244.64 crore. Larsen & Toubro's valuation increased by ₹14,483.9 crore to ₹5,74,028.93 crore. ICICI Bank's market cap increased by ₹5,719.95 crore to ₹10,11,978.77 crore.

Reliance Industries retained the top spot in the list of top 10 companies. This was followed by HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, SBI, ICICI Bank, Tata Consultancy Services, Bajaj Finance, Larsen & Toubro, Infosys and LIC respectively.
