News Topical, Digital Desk : A major accident occurred in Gayaji, Bihar, on Thursday (September 25, 2025). Nine young men drowned in a river while making reels near the Kenny Bridge in the Khijrasarai police station area. They were making reels on the river bank when they drifted into deep water. Seeing themselves drowning, they began screaming. Hearing the noise, people nearby rushed to the scene.

After considerable effort, everyone was somehow rescued. They were immediately sent to the Belagnj Primary Health Center. After receiving first aid, two boys were sent to Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College Hospital for better treatment. Seven boys were admitted to the Belagnj Primary Health Center, of whom five died. Two are currently undergoing treatment.

All these boys are from 11th and 12th class.

When the family learned of the incident, mourning spread throughout the village. The family is inconsolable. It is being reported that the boys were returning from school. They went to the river bank to take a video, and this tragic incident occurred. People said that some of the boys were in the 11th grade, while others were in the 12th grade.

Regarding this entire matter, SDM Keshav Anand of Neemuchak Bathani subdivision stated that the Circle Officer and the Station House Officer (SHO) had received information about the incident. He stated that the names of six boys have been identified. They were Tausif, Jasif, Sahil, Jam, Sufian, and Sajid. The incident occurred near Keni Ghat. Further information is being gathered.

On the other hand, the boys undergoing treatment will be able to accurately explain how the incident occurred and what happened. Whether any of the nine boys were real brothers or some of them were from the same family will be revealed after the investigation.
