News Topical, Digital Desk : Chandrashekhar Bawankule, a minister in the Maharashtra government and a senior BJP leader, has made a controversial statement regarding former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. He has sparked a new controversy by comparing Thackeray to a python. He also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Chandrashekhar Bawankule said, "Mumbai has been swallowed by a python like Uddhav Thackeray. He sits at home, sleeps all day and eats at night. He has devoured the entire Mumbai. Amit Bhai (Amit Shah) has tried to eliminate terrorism from our country from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, the way he has worked to eliminate Maoism."
'They ate up Mumbai'
He further said, "Our Modi sahab has taken the country from where to where in 11 years. He has killed terrorists by entering their homes. If we call him an anaconda, then these people are the anaconda python. They have eaten up Mumbai for 40 years. Uddhav Thackeray is such a python, he did not even have his own party. He ate that too. He even ate up the rights of Shiv Sena."
'Leadership is proven in elections'
Bawankule said, "You don't get votes by speaking ill of someone. It's about proving leadership. Leadership is proven in elections. In the upcoming elections, they are going to go home in Mumbai and we are going to win the 51 percent fight. Our alliance is going to win. That's why they have tried to save their reputation by abusing right now."
Eknath Shinde also retaliated
In addition to Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also attacked Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday (October 28), comparing him to an anaconda whose hunger is never-ending and who is sitting on Mumbai's treasury.
What did Uddhav Thackeray say?
The Shiv Sena (UBT) chief called Union Home Minister Amit Shah an anaconda who wants to swallow Mumbai. Following this, Mahayuti leaders are strongly retaliating.
