According to information received, the family lives in the Khavda Dongar area of Tisgaon. The victim is from her mother's first marriage, and her mother has since remarried. Both her mother and stepfather are laborers. It is alleged that on the day of the incident, while her mother was out at work, her drunken stepfather found her alone at home, took off her clothes, placed her on his lap, and began touching her inappropriately. The girl screamed, but the accused did not let her go. To save herself, the girl bit her stepfather's hand and fled the scene when she got the chance.
The accused was caught and beaten
Hearing the girl's screams and running, women from the area gathered and caught the accused and beat him. The accused, who was intoxicated, was unable to pursue her. The girl ran straight to a neighbor's house. Arriving at the scene, a team from Waluj MIDC police station took the girl into custody and sent her for further medical examination. The medical examination revealed bruises and bite marks on her body. The initial investigation also revealed that the accused had previously been involved in suspicious activities.
Case registered under POCSO Act
A case has been registered under the POCSO Act at the Waluj MIDC police station. Considering the seriousness of the incident, the police have taken the accused into custody, conducted a medical examination, and are conducting further investigations. The incident has sparked anger in the area, with residents demanding strict action against the accused.
