News Topical, Digital Desk : A tragic accident took place on Friday morning on the NH-527C bridge near Piraukhar village under Madhubani's Madhavapur police station area, in which two teenagers died after being hit by a Dial 112 police vehicle. Both the deceased teenagers were residents of Singiyahi village under Pupri police station area of Sitamarhi district. The deceased, identified as Rajkishore Kumar alias Chhotu (age about 15 years), died on the spot, while the other Sachin Kumar, son of Jitan Mukhiya, died on the way while being taken to Sitamarhi.

2 policemen suspended with immediate effect

Regarding the incident, Madhubani SP Yogendra Kumar said that the police personnel of the Dial 112 team have been suspended with immediate effect. Along with this, an FIR has been lodged against them and orders for investigation have also been issued. According to the information, the accident happened on Friday morning around 4:30 am, when both the teenagers were going from Choraut to Pupri on a Pulsar bike, during this time Chandramohan Singh alias Kranti Singh was present in the Dial 112 police vehicle and on the basis of secret information, they were being chased in the case of liquor smuggling.

At the same time, a massive collision took place near the Piraukhar NH-527C bridge. Rajkishore died on the spot in the accident, while Sachin was seriously injured and kept writhing in pain for five hours. Due to the delay in the ambulance and the late arrival of the police, he could not get timely treatment and he also died on the way. After the incident, the villagers vented their anger on the police.

Let us tell you that this incident happened due to police vehicle 112 being engaged in a liquor smuggling operation, in which this accident happened, there was a delay in providing help to the injured, the police of Madhavapur police station reached the spot five hours after the incident, due to which the protest and uproar started. After the incident, the angry villagers blocked NH-527C and NH-527B by placing the dead body on the road. Traffic was stopped by placing bamboo sticks near Piraukhar Panchayat Bhawan.

According to the local people, the villagers allege that the Dial 112 vehicle was chasing the bike loaded with liquor, and this incident happened during this sequence. Angry people blocked the main road and traffic. On getting information about the incident, the in-charge police station chief Nishu Kumari reached the spot with her team and started gathering information about the case and started taking initiatives to normalize the situation. Police inspector Neeraj Kumar Verma also reached the spot, where he had to face opposition from the villagers.

Many policemen were injured

Seeing the anger of the villagers against the police, the police of Saharghat, Harlakhi and Khirhar police station reached the spot and tried to calm the situation, but the angry villagers started pelting stones at the police. Due to this, many policemen suffered minor injuries. In response, the police fired five rounds in the air. Only then the crowd dispersed and the situation could be controlled. The police team of Madhavapur, Khirhar and Benipatti police station took charge at the spot and the public demanded to register a murder case against the Dial 112 police personnel and demanded compensation and government job for the victim's family.
