New Delhi:  On Janmashtami, Kanha's bhog has a special significance. Yashoda's son loves butter, but he likes many other things too. On the occasion of Janmashtami, to please him and show their affection, people make various sweet and salty dishes and offer them to Kanha. If you are also planning what to make on this occasion, then make these traditional sweets. You can prepare them at home very easily. Know its recipe.

Milk Peda 

Pour 1 liter milk in a pan and keep it on the gas for boiling.

After boiling, keep stirring the milk continuously. Otherwise, its taste changes as it sticks to the bottom.

While stirring continuously, when the milk starts to thicken, add 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder to it.

After this, reduce the flame and cook it for 5 to 6 minutes more. Until it becomes solid.

Then take it out in a plate.

After it cools down, its pedas have to be made.

Apply ghee on your hands and keep making pedas.

Heat 1 liter of milk in a pan. Also add 100 ml of milkmaid in it.

Cook the milk on a medium flame while stirring continuously until it reduces to half.

Grate the cheese. Add milk to it and mix gently.

Then add 1/4 cup rose syrup to it and stir.

After that add 1 teaspoon cardamom powder. Cook the milk till it thickens.

Grease a tray with ghee and pour this mixture into it.

Apply silver work on it and decorate it with pistachio slivers.

Cut it into desired shape. 

Tasty Rose Kalakand is ready.

Papaya Barfi

Peel 1/2 ripe papaya and cut it into pieces. Leave a few pieces and grind the rest in a mixer to make a puree.

Heat 1 teaspoon ghee in a pan. Add the papaya puree and the remaining pieces and cook on medium flame, stirring continuously, until the water evaporates.

Add 1/3 cup sugar and cook. When the sugar water also dries up, add 1/2 cup milk powder to it. When the mixture starts leaving the sides, turn off the gas.

Grease a tray or plate with ghee. Pour this mixture into it and add dry fruits and leave it at room temperature for 2 hours to set.

Then cut it in desired shape.

So this Janmashtami make Kanha happy with these dishes.
