News Topical, Digital Desk : Now, the dreams of the state's youth to find jobs abroad will come true. The government has launched an initiative combining language training and skills development to prepare young people to meet the needs of global companies. By learning languages ranging from English to Japanese and German, the state's youth will be able to pursue better careers in India and abroad.
To this end, an MoU has been signed between Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University and AFC India Limited under the Uttar Pradesh Employment Mission. The partnership aims to prepare young people for employment abroad by training them in foreign languages such as English, German, Arabic, Japanese, and French. Additionally, skills gaps will be addressed based on industry needs.
Labor and Employment Minister Anil Rajbhar reviewed the progress of the schemes at a review meeting held in the Sangam Auditorium of the Employment Directorate on Monday. Before the meeting, he inspected the Sevamitra scheme's call center and toll-free number 155330 and understood the service booking process.
He said that the demand for Indian workers is rapidly increasing in Japan, Germany, and other European countries. Currently, approximately 6,000 workers are working in Israel and earning well. In the future, new employment opportunities will open up for other countries as well. Bhasha University Vice Chancellor Prof. Ajay Taneja stated that training will be tailored to the needs of foreign companies.
Meanwhile, AFC India Limited shared its plan to identify and address skill gaps in all districts through its network. Principal Secretary of Labor, Dr. MK Shanmuga Sundaram, stated that large employment programs have been organized in Lucknow, Noida, and Varanasi under the Employment Mission, with the active participation of private companies. At the event, appointment letters were given to six youth trained under the Skill Bridge Scheme.
