News Topical, Digital Desk : US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said that the US is monitoring developments between India and Pakistan on a daily basis as the ceasefire could break very soon.

"The only way to have a ceasefire is if both sides agree to stop firing at each other. Russia has not agreed to that yet. One of the complications of a ceasefire is that it has to be maintained, which is very difficult. We monitor every day what is happening between Pakistan and India, what is happening between Cambodia and Thailand," Rubio said in an interview.

Ukraine war mentioned

"Ceasefires can break very quickly, especially after three and a half years of war (in Ukraine) like we are going through now. Our goal is a peace agreement that does not lead to any war now or in the future," he said.

In another interview, Rubio reiterated President Donald Trump's claim that the US stopped the conflict between India and Pakistan. It is worth noting that Trump has said more than 40 times that he stopped the conflict between the two countries by saying that America would do a lot of trade with them.
