
News Topical, Digital Desk : JSW Energy informed after market close on Thursday that the company has commissioned 281 MW of organic renewable energy capacity and signed a power purchase agreement with Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited. The company said in an exchange filing that it has successfully commissioned 281 MW of organic renewable energy capacity along with 215 MW solar capacity and 66 MW wind capacity, taking the current installed capacity to 12,499 MW.
This move will increase the company's overall renewable generation. With this increase, JSW Energy's installed wind capacity now stands at 3,482 MW, solar energy at 1,968 MW and hydro at 1,391 MW.
Adani Electricity Power Purchase Agreement In another announcement, JSW Renew Energy Three Limited, a subsidiary of the company, has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited. This PPA is for a 250 MW STU (State Transmission Utility)-linked wind project in Maharashtra, the rate of which has been fixed at Rs 3.65 per unit. The project is expected to be commissioned in the next 24 months.
Stock performance On Thursday, the company's stock closed at Rs 508.90, down 0.029 per cent. In the last one year, the company's stock has seen a decline of 16.37 per cent.
