
News Topical, Digital Desk : Rajasthan Deputy CM Diya Kumari reached the Railway Stadium on Sunday (August 30) morning during her two-day stay in Jodhpur, where she participated in the Langdi Express competition organized by Rotary Club of Jodhpur Sanskaar.
The Deputy CM encouraged the players during this time. He described this traditional game as a cultural heritage and said that it brought back childhood memories.
While encouraging the players participating in the competition, Diya Kumari said, “Traditional games like Langdi are our cultural heritage. These games not only provide entertainment but also promote physical fitness and mutual brotherhood. We should be proud that this tradition of India is so rich. Society will have to take the responsibility of taking such games forward.”
Got an opportunity to play Langdi after a long time- Diya Kumari
On this occasion, Minister of State for Industry KK Bishnoi, MLA Atul Bhansali and Mayor (North) Kunti Parihar were present as special guests. The Deputy CM further said, "After a long time, I got the opportunity to play Langdi and childhood memories were refreshed as I played. The Deputy Chief Minister also participated in Langdi race along with Minister of State KK Bishnoi and MLA Atul Bhansali.
Rotary Club of Jodhpur expressed gratitude to Sanskar
Smiling, he said, "This game has been a part of everyone's childhood and as soon as we entered the field, childhood moments came back again." Regarding the program, the Deputy Chief Minister expressed special gratitude to the Rotary Club of Jodhpur Sanskar and said that organizing this competition by the organization is a commendable initiative towards promoting traditional sports. He also congratulated the club on this achievement and its name was registered in the Asia Book of Records.
Review meeting with departmental officers
During his visit, the Deputy CM also mentioned the meetings held at the administrative level. He said, "On Saturday, he held a review meeting with the departmental officials and gave them clear instructions to immediately rectify the shortcomings in the schemes and works wherever they exist.
During the Langdi Express competition, the entire stadium was filled with enthusiasm and excitement. From children to adults, everyone showed keen interest in this traditional game. The Deputy Chief Minister's participation in the game boosted the participants' morale and the game became even more colourful.
What did Diya Kumari say about the assembly session?
Regarding the assembly session, Diya Kumari said, "The assembly session is going to start soon. In this session, issues related to the public will be given priority. I hope that the opposition will also cooperate in this and together we will be able to find a solution to the problems of the public."
