News Topical, Digital Desk : Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, during his "reconciliation tour," launched his strongest political attack yet against the opposition BJP and Leader of the Opposition Jairam Thakur. Accusing the BJP of horse-trading, the Chief Minister said that the BJP, which once dreamed of seizing power with the help of "money power," has now split into five factions.
The Chief Minister labeled the MLAs who left the Congress and joined the BJP as "fake BJP." Taking a dig at the Leader of the Opposition, he said, "Jairam Thakur, in collusion with these defectors, has now become a prophet and is predicting the fall of the government." Sukhu alleged that the BJP used huge sums of money to buy MLAs during the 2024 Rajya Sabha elections, leading to Jairam Thakur's overconfidence.
Questions raised on the resignation of independent MLAs
The Chief Minister described the resignation of independent MLAs as a unique and unique event in the country's democratic history. He said, "This is the first time in the country that independent candidates have resigned and gone on a hunger strike to have their resignations accepted. But today, those same people have come out on the streets, and the public is teaching them a lesson." The Chief Minister clarified that the public has thwarted the BJP's attempts to manipulate public opinion through money.
'BJP is divided into five factions'
Taking aim at the ongoing infighting within the BJP, the Chief Minister said that the opposition party is currently divided into five different factions. He said, "The BJP should stop dreaming of returning to power, as there is no coordination within their own party. On the other hand, our government is taking decisions keeping in mind the interests of the common man, and every step of the state government is dedicated to the public interest."
Chief Minister Sukhu reiterated that the Congress government is preventing the misuse of resources and devoting them to the welfare of the poor and middle class. He assured the people of Reconciliation that the BJP's machinations will not harm the democratically elected government.
