More than 3,000 people died in Iran.

According to HRANA, a US-based news agency affiliated with human rights activists, its investigation has found a total of 3,090 deaths in Iran during the protests. Of these, 2,885 were protesters, while the remaining 205 were security personnel and other government employees. More than 10,000 people have been arrested, but the exact number is not yet known. This death toll exceeds the number of people killed during the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

What does the government say?

The Iranian government has stated that armed rioters operating among the protesters committed violence, firing, killing, and setting fires. These individuals were not civilians but agents of Israel and the United States. They are responsible for the deaths and injuries of numerous civilians and security personnel.

After two weeks of violent protests, the capital, Tehran, has been calm for the past four days, and life appears to be returning to normal. There were no major demonstrations on Thursday and Friday. The capital area is being monitored by drones.

There was a plan to execute 800 people: Trump

US President Trump, who had warned of very tough action against Iran for hanging protesters, has said that Iranian leaders have now cancelled the decision to carry out mass executions.

Trump said that a mass execution of more than 800 arrested protesters was planned for Friday, but that decision was canceled. Trump thanked the Iranian leadership via internet media for this, while Iran has denied any such decision or cancellation of mass executions.

Many Indians return from protest-hit Iran

Amid widespread protests in Iran, many Indians, including students, returned home. These commercial flights arrived at Delhi airport late Friday night. It was not immediately known how many Indians arrived on these commercial flights. Ali Naqi, a passenger, was asked if he faced any difficulties in Iran.

"We had no problems," he replied. "We returned from Tehran. We were in Iraq first, then went to Iran. After staying there for eight days, we returned to India."

"The internet wasn't working. So we didn't know exactly what was happening in the country," said a young woman studying in medical college. The student said the situation was fine in the city she was in.
