
News Topical, Digital Desk : Infosys Foundation, the philanthropic arm of IT giant Infosys, has launched the Rs 200 crore Infosys Springboard Livelihood Program. Its aim is to provide employment to five lakh people in India by 2030.
More than 80,000 people have got jobs
Under this program, the company's digital learning platform, Infosys Springboard, will provide skills and career development opportunities in addition to classroom training. The company said in a press release that in the financial year 2025, more than 80,000 people have got jobs in different sectors under this program. Targeting both graduates and undergraduates, this initiative focuses on jobs in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and non-STEM sectors. It helps in advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning as well as digital marketing, finance and workplace competencies such as communication, time management and interview preparation.
Infosys Foundation's agreement with 20 partners Infosys Foundation has signed an agreement with about 20 partners, including ICT Academy, Unnati, Nirman, Magic Bus, Aga Khan Rural Support Program, Centum, CII Foundation and NIIT Foundation, to create job opportunities and build careers. Infosys Foundation Trustee Sumit Virmani said in the release that the big opportunity in our country is to focus on skill development initiatives to meet the demands of the industry and the AI era and then create a path from learning to livelihood. He said that this program attempts to bridge the gap between learning and sustainable employment while contributing to economic development.
