News Topical, Digital Desk : Gujarat's social media star Kirti Patel has been arrested by the police. Police said that in 2024, a complaint was filed against Kirti under extortion, honeytrapping and IT Act. Surat DCP Alok Kumar said that there were a total of five accused in this. Kirti was absconding for the last 11 months. The court had issued an arrest warrant.

DCP Alok Kumar further said, "We were searching for many days after the warrant. We finally found out that she used her mobile from an IP address in Sarkhej area of Ahmedabad. On the basis of that, we used technical intelligence and caught her from there and brought her to Surat. We are presenting her in the court and taking further action."

Extortion demanded from builder

Along with this, he said, "There are a total of nine cases. Five of these are from Surat city. She works as a social media influencer. She has more than 1 million followers on Instagram. The complaint filed with Surat Police in Kapodara was for extortion of Rs 2 crore. Ransom was demanded from a builder."

Kirti was seen laughing after her arrest

After the arrest, a video of Kirti has surfaced. She is wearing a green coloured T-shirt and a dupatta. She is seen smiling even after being arrested by the police.

Earlier also Kirti was arrested by the police. According to ABP Asmita, in December 2022, ten people including Kirti were arrested for harassing a family. In May 2022, a woman accused Kirti Patel of threatening her. Later, Kirti surrendered at the police station.
