News Topical, Digital Desk : In the conflict between India and Pakistan, some countries were helping Pakistan from behind, one of which was Turkey. India had once helped it a lot. Turkey had given its most dangerous Bayraktar TB2 drone to Pakistan in the fight against India, but this drone of Turkey was destroyed by the Indian defense system.

India shattered Turkey's dream of gaining a foothold in the defense sector

According to media reports, Turkey's reputation has taken a hit after its much-hyped Bayraktar TB2 drone failed in combat with India, and Turkey's dream of gaining a foothold in the defense sector seems to be shattered.

India's Akash air defense system showed its magic

Turkey is now facing a lot of struggle in the defence sector with several companies on the verge of closure after Indian security forces using indigenous Akashtiar air defence systems shot down a Turkish-origin drone in a clash in May.

India hit Bayraktar TB2 hard

Turkiye's Bayraktar TB2 drone has been touted as a revolutionary weapon in conflicts from Ukraine to Libya. The Bayraktar TB2 has not been as decisive as its proponents claimed. Recently, Russia succeeded in repelling a Bayraktar attack, after which Zelenskyy was largely neutralized in an airstrike.

Not a single Turkish-made drone was able to cross India's border

The real setback came in India when not a single Turkish-made drone crossed the Indian border. Pakistan's Turkish-made drones failed. India either shot them down or they failed to attack their targets.

Turkish President Erdogan used to praise these drones

Turkiye President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has long promoted Turkiye-made drones as a symbol of his Islamic outlook and a centerpiece of Turkiye's defense ambitions. The drones were not only a means of hard power, but also a diplomatic tool for Turkiye's influence in Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia.

The Indian army defeated Pakistan and the Turks playing from behind.

The Pakistan Army bought hundreds of Turkiye drones hoping to overwhelm Indian air defences. Instead, the Indian Army handed a crushing defeat to Pakistan and Turkey, who were playing behind the scenes.

Indian air defence officials confirmed that 300-400 Turkiye drones, including Biker YIHA III kamikaze drones and Turkiye-origin micro-drones such as the Songatri and Eyatri, were shot down mid-air before they could cause any harm to Indian security.
