13 Pakistani soldiers killed

On Saturday, a suicide bomber rammed a vehicle loaded with explosives into a military convoy in North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The blast killed 13 soldiers and injured 10 others. 19 civilians were also injured.

Security sources said curfew was imposed in the area at the time of the incident due to ongoing military activity. Security agencies launched a rescue operation after the blast. They said the terrorist group Usud al-Harb, a sub-faction of the Hafiz Gul Bahadur group, claimed responsibility for the attack.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has strongly condemned the suicide attack. The Chief Minister said, we salute the brave security personnel and their families who sacrificed their lives for the country.
