News Topical, Digital Desk : Delhi Police has arrested an inter-state drug smuggler who used to deal drugs in trains while sitting among the common people. Delhi Police has recovered a huge amount of high quality heroin from the accused. Police has made this arrest from the service road near Anand Vihar railway station.

According to Delhi Police, the accused Rahul is a resident of Badaun in UP. During police interrogation, Rahul confessed that he used to bring this heroin from Bareilly and supply it in Delhi. His job was only to bring the goods and deliver them, that is, he was working as a courier of drugs.

However, Delhi Police had received information that a consignment of narcotics was about to arrive near Anand Bihar. Based on the information, Delhi Police made a plan and arrested Rahul. An FIR has been registered against him under Section 21 of the NDPS Act.

Delhi Police smuggler Rahul used to smuggle heroin from Bareilly in UP to Delhi via public transport like bus or train. He used to present himself as a common traveler and hide the drugs in his personal belongings so that no one would suspect him. He used to choose crowded places like Anand Vihar so that he could easily hide in the crowd.

Delhi Police investigation continues

Delhi Police is now engaged in finding out the source and distribution network of heroin. Intensive interrogation of the accused is going on and other smugglers who came in contact with him are also being searched. Delhi Police is trying to find out by interrogating the accused as to where this drug was supplied in Delhi NCR.
