
News Topical, Digital Desk : After fake PMO officer, fake toll and fake court, now a case of opening a fake tehsil panchayat office has come to light in Gujarat. Five acres of land of the village was auctioned through this panchayat office.
For this, the original letterhead and seal of the Panchayat were used. Fake signatures of officials were made on the orders and certificates of the Panchayat. Not only this, bribes were taken from the applicants in the name of allotment. In this, the collusion of a former Patwari of the village and other employees has come to light.
How was the plan made for auctioning the land?
Gondal Tehsil Development Officer Milan Ukawala says that he has not received any complaint in this regard so far. A plan was made to auction five acres of land of Trakudha village by opening a fake Panchayat office in Gondal Tehsil of Rajkot. The letterhead and seal of the Panchayat were arranged with the connivance of former and present employees.

Fake signatures of officials were made on the papers. Some people from the village publicised this scheme. Local development fund, education and sanitation tax was collected from the applicants by promising them plots worth Rs 1.4 lakh.
Bribes were also collected from the applicants on the basis of per square meter. Former Patwari of Trakudha village Dharmesh Hapaliya is believed to be the mastermind of this scam. When the current Patwari of the Panchayat Bhavesh Udeshi was asked about this auction, he flatly denied it.
