News Topical, Digital Desk : Brooke Anderson, a 27-year-old teacher at Riverview High School in Florida, USA, has been arrested for having sex with a minor student. According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened just before the school day began.
Anderson is accused of having a sexual relationship with the minor student over the past several months. He has been charged with three counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor.
Anderson allegedly had sex with a student at Riverview High School on the morning of May 16. This led to his arrest. The sheriff's office began investigating after receiving a complaint of an inappropriate relationship between a teacher and a male student. The student said his and Anderson's conversation began with sexually explicit text messages in September 2024.

According to the Hillsborough County public school teachers directory, Anderson was a science teacher at Riverview High School, but her name was removed from the directory after her arrest.
- He was charged with three counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor, according to online jail records. A judge set his bail at $45,000 the next day.
- A fine of $15,000 was imposed for each case.
- After this he was released.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said the investigation is still ongoing and urged anyone who may have been affected to come forward and contact police. The school district acknowledged that Anderson had passed all the necessary screening and background checks before being appointed. However, he has now been suspended and is in the process of terminating his services.
'The school has broken the trust'
Sheriff Chad Chronister said, "This teacher violated the trust of a student, a school, and an entire community. She used a safe and supportive learning environment to commit a crime. Her crimes were deliberate and deeply disturbing."
