News Topical, Digital Desk : The BJP on Sunday questioned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's visit to South America, where he has been since September 26. BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya demanded answers from the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and the Congress on social media.
In a post on X, Malviya said, "It's been more than 15 days now and apart from a few videos made to divert attention from the real purpose of his visit, there has been complete silence." Malviya also questioned his other engagements. He asked, “Where is Rahul Gandhi and what is he doing in South America? Why so much secrecy?”
"The elections are here, so come back now."
Earlier on Saturday, Malviya wrote on his X handle, "If Rahul Gandhi has learned to make coffee and is vacationing in Colombia, he should return to India. The Bihar elections have been announced and voting will begin in less than a month. The Grand Alliance will lose again. And, as always, the Congress will blame everyone except its missing leader!"
Nishikant Dubey demands investigation into Rahul's foreign tours
Earlier, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey had demanded an investigation into Rahul Gandhi's foreign trips over the past ten years. On October 7, the BJP MP stated that no MP, including Rahul Gandhi, needs government permission to go on study tours.
He further said that during Rajiv Gandhi's government, two Union ministers – Minister of State for Rural Development Chandulal Chandrakar, Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies K.P. Singh Deo and State Electronics Commission Chairman M.S. Sanjiva Rao – had to resign after being named in espionage cases.
Dubey also shared documents on X, which documented Dev expressing displeasure over his name being listed in the chargesheet alongside an accused named Ram Swaroop. Citing this infamous incident, Nishikant Dubey demanded that agencies investigate Rahul Gandhi's foreign trips.
