stated moral judgment

In his resignation letter, Rinku Singh Rahi stated, "This is my moral decision. Unless I get the opportunity to work honestly within the system, remaining in office is pointless." His resignation has become a topic of discussion within the UP administration. Many on social media are citing it as an example of the sidelining of honest officers, while others are considering it a personal decision. There has been no response from the government on this matter.

The attack took place after exposing the scam

It's worth noting that Rinku Singh Rahi's story is an example of struggle and courage. In 2009, while serving as the District Social Welfare Officer in Muzaffarnagar, he exposed a scholarship scam worth ₹100 crore. Subsequently, the mafia attacked him, shooting him seven times. He lost vision in one eye and suffered jaw damage, but his spirit remained unshaken. He cracked the UPSC exam on his 13th attempt through the disabled quota and became an IAS officer in the 2022 batch.

There was a dispute in Shahjahanpur

Even after becoming an IAS officer, Rahi's troubles didn't end. Recently, he was posted as SDM in Puwaiyan tehsil of Shahjahanpur district, where he took strict measures to maintain cleanliness and discipline. He took action after seeing a clerk urinating in the open. Following this, a video of lawyers performing sit-ups in protest went viral, and he was removed within just 36 hours. Now, he alleges that he hasn't been given an active posting for a long time. He's receiving a salary, but has no opportunity to serve the public.
