News Topical, Digital Desk : The body of Sonam, daughter-in-law of Jalandhar's plywood businessman Naresh Tiwari, has been recovered. The body has been found in the Goindwal Sahib river. Sonam went missing on Saturday (14 June). This was confirmed by Naresh Tiwari himself. He said that he has just come to know that the body of daughter-in-law Sonam has been recovered from the river. The family has left for Goindwal Sahib from Jalandhar.

Businessman Naresh Tiwari said that his daughter-in-law went missing under suspicious circumstances last Saturday. There was no trace of her since then. A complaint was lodged with the police and the police were investigating the matter.

She fell into the river due to slipping of her feet

Tiwari said that his daughter-in-law had gone to Beas in Amritsar for some puja. During the immersion, she slipped and was swept away in the river. After which the search for the daughter-in-law was on. But today afternoon he received a call from Goindwal Sahib that his daughter-in-law's body has been found. 

No clue was found till late night

Further, he told that Sonam was about 39 years old and was with her son Mandeep Tiwari. Her search continued throughout the day on Sunday but no clue was found till late night. Search was conducted in the river as well as the surrounding areas. The water current of Beas is very fast. In such a situation, searching at night was challenging.

Police had started investigation

Regarding this, SHO Dalwinderjit Singh of Thana Dhilwan said that he had received information about the woman's disappearance, on the basis of which an investigation was started. The police in Goindwal Sahib have taken Sonam's body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. 

Meanwhile, the family has left Jalandhar. Sonam's last message to the family was 'I love you'. According to the information received, Sonam was mentally disturbed for a long time. The family has not confirmed anything like this.
